Here at Atlas Immersion Academy our team is extremely important to us and is part of our family!
If you're looking to work at a center that puts its team first, then this could be the place for you.
About Atlas Immersion Academy
At Atlas, our mission is to raise the next generation of culturally and linguistically competent global citizens through language immersion early childhood education. We place a high importance on understanding the uniqueness of each child and family, and tailor the physical environment based on this knowledge to ensure that all children feel at-home and like they belong in their “class family”.
We value the diversity inherent in a group of multilingual, multinational staff and families, and celebrate that beauty through meaningful sharing, rituals and traditions throughout the year. In turn, children grow to expect that other people may look different from themselves, speak differently, and that these differences are not something to fear but rather embrace and respect.
We require on-going training for our staff through state classes, orientation videos, in-house training, and other certified professionals in the education field. All of our teachers either hold a degree in Early Childhood Education or are "in progress" earning their Atlas-sponsored Child Development Associate degree.
When it comes to our team, we look for people who are not simply qualified to look after children but passionate about providing high quality care, share our values, and believe in creating global citizens.
Our Mission, Vision, and Values
Atlas Immersion Academy raises the next generation of culturally and linguistically competent global citizens, through language immersion early childhood education. We pride ourselves on our Core Values.
After all, you wouldn’t want to work somewhere that had different values and beliefs than you, would you?
We are committed to keeping our children, families, and team members safe. Our classrooms and facilities are cleaned daily and maintained by a professional and eco-friendly janitorial company. Each building is also protected by door-coding and alarm systems to ensure our little ones are always safe.
We have built an incredible community and aim to be a hub for all our families. From ongoing parent-teacher communication using Brightwheel™ to twice annual teacher-conferences, we want families and caregivers to be included during their little one’s time at Atlas. We also offer a number of parent classes and celebrations to encourage culture and language sharing, as well as connection with other families in the area.
Professionalism
Our commitments to professionalism is exemplified through our staff onboarding, ongoing training and benefits programs, and through the staff uniforms you can visibly observe every day at school. All regular full-time Atlas teachers are multilingual and hold or are working toward at least a CDA or higher in the Early Childhood Education field.
We always try to uphold high ethical standards and conduct ourselves with honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity. We consistently prioritize the well-being and safety of the children in our care, acting in their best interest at all times. We foster a supportive and respectful environment, both among our colleagues and in our interactions with parents and children.
At Atlas we are dedicated to meeting the needs of our busy families and each member of our team knows that their role isn’t simply to care for children but to provide a holistic experience for the whole family. Diapers and wipes are included in tuition prices, along with meals cooked on-site, and we are open year-round with minimal closures to ensure we are able to support our communities.
Atlas Leaders are held to the highest standards in the Early Education field, and are encouraged regularly to improve upon their own learning, through both required training and courses, as well as optional performance-based incentives such as national conference attendance. All of our teachers are provided with a clear path to advancement, should they desire to grow into Leadership at Atlas!
Force for Good
We believe in being a Force for Good in the world, carefully shaping the early years experiences of children to provide them with a global perspective. By providing ways to connect with other parents, opportunities to learn new skills, and learning about resources in the community, we are also able to be a place of support for our parents and caregivers.
